Support Housing of Waterloo (SHOW) has built an affordable five-storey, 30-unit apartment building consisting of one-bedroom units targeted to prematurely aged adults experiencing or at-risk of chronic homelessness. Support services are made available on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for case management and life skills supports. The one-bedroom units are self-contained and are 500 sq ft.
TWC acted as the Housing Development Consultant for this project and was responsible for the following activities:
• Applied for Affordable Housing Program funding
• Negotiated government contribution agreements
• Managed cash-flow
• Arranged mortgage financing
